About Us

We are Monochrome Desire - a Manic Street Preachers fanzine established in 2017. Our mission is to bring the Manics fanzine into the 21st century.

A bunch of 90s babies, we felt hard done by missing the prime of the Manics fanzine. Although we could access wonderful online zines, and scans of older ones, we couldn't help but crave the physical thing.

So we started our own.

Our first issue - Poetry of Death - sold out within a day. Funnily enough, we weren't the only ones who craved a physical fanzine.

The hype around our fanzine helped ignite the creativity in other fans, and many other physical Manics zines started popping up!

Nicky Wire even mentioned us in the NME:
"There's been a physical new fanzine set up for us called Monochrome Desire, which is rare. Stuff like that just keeps you young."
